Bonus Blue Terms and Conditions of
1.1. In these Terms and Conditions unless the context expressly
"Basic Member" means a Member designated as a
Basic Member of a Bonus Blue Business Account;
"Blue Islands" means Blue Islands Limited;
"Blue Islands Customer Care Team" means Blue
Islands central reservations office;
"Blue Islands Terms and Conditions" means the
general conditions of carriage for passengers and baggage available
online at www.blueislands.com;
"Bonus Blue" means the frequent flyer schemes
operated by Blue Islands;
"Bonus Blue Account" means either a Bonus Blue
Household Account or a Bonus Blue Business Account established by
Blue Islands for new Members upon acceptance of Membership, which
enables Members to earn and accumulate Reward Points and redeem all
or part of such Reward Points for Rewards;
"Bonus Blue Business Account" means a business
account which enables business' employees to combine to enable the
business to earn Reward Points and redeem all or part of such
Reward Points for Rewards;
"Bonus Blue Household Account" means a
household account which enables up to 7 family members living at
the same address to combine to enable the household to earn Reward
Points and redeem all or part of such Reward Points for
"Bonus Blue Pages" means the Bonus Blue
frequent flyer pages, as amended from time to time, available
online at www.blueislands.com;
"Bonus Blue Number" means the 16 digit number
which is allocated to each individual Household member;
"Bonus Blue Scheme" mean the Bonus Blue scheme
offered to Bonus Blue Household Account holders and Bonus Blue
Business Account holders, respectively;
"Data" means data personal to a Member;
"Eligible Person(s)" means individuals of 18
years of age or over (save to the extent applicable, minors
nominated as part of the Bonus Blue Household Account);
"Fraud" means fraud, dishonesty and deceit and
in particular includes, but is not limited to:
• knowingly supplying, at any time, incorrect information to
accrue Reward Points;
• attempting to accrue Reward Points for Sectors were not flown or
are not eligible for Reward Points;
• altering documents or Data to procure Reward Points;
• attempting to accrue Reward Points for Sectors flown by any
person other than the Member eligible to accrue or claim such
• using or attempting to use stolen or counterfeit tickets on any
airline operated by Blue Islands or its Service Partners;
• attempting to accrue Reward Points more than once for the same
• selling, bartering and/or purchasing Reward Points or Rewards
including attempting to sell, purchase or transfer Reward Points or
Rewards by means of internet based sales, purchases, auctions or
• knowingly benefiting from the fraud or Misconduct of another
Member or individual;
"Infant" means a child under 2 years on the
date of travel;
"Loss" means losses, costs, damages, injuries,
accidents, delays or claims (whether direct or indirect) suffered
by Members in connection with the provision of Services or
"Marketing Partners" means Service Partners and
any company selected by Blue Islands to offer Services to
"Member" means a person who is a member of
"Membership" means membership of Bonus
"Membership Login-ID" means the login details
specifically attributed by Blue Islands to the Bonus Blue
"Misconduct" includes but is not limited
• failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions or the terms
and conditions of any Service;
• attempting to obtain Reward Points by Fraud;
• misusing the Services;
• misconduct while checking-in or being on board any flight
operated by Blue Islands or any of its Service Partners;
• misconduct in dealing with the staff of Blue Islands or any of
its Service Partners; or
• failure to comply with the Blue Islands Terms and Conditions and
any other applicable rules and regulations;
"Primary Member" means a Member designated as
the Primary Member of a Bonus Blue Account pursuant to clause
14.3.2 and 15.4;
"Processed" includes obtaining, updating,
using, recording and holding data or information in electronic or
any other form;
"Rewards" means any flight ticket issued or
other goods or services supplied by Blue Islands or on behalf of
Blue Islands by any of its Service Partners upon redemption by a
Member of an appropriate amount of the Member's Reward Points;
"Reward Points" means the credits denominated
as reward points earned by a Member and credited to such Member's
Bonus Blue Account;
"Sector" means a single eligible flight sector
between two destinations;
"Services" means for the time being the Rewards
but also services, benefits and facilities which may from time to
time be available to Members whether provided by Blue Islands or
any of its Service Partners;
"Service Partners" means partners and companies
including but not limited to financial and insurance institutions,
hotels and car hire companies who provide Services to Members by
reason of their Membership;
"Terms and Conditions" means the Bonus Blue
terms and conditions of Membership as contained herein and as
amended from time to time;
means the Blue Islands website at the internet address http://www.blueislands.com;
"Unaccompanied minor" means all persons aged
8-11 years of age who are travelling alone;
"Year" means the period of 12 months from the
date of Membership registration and each 12 month period
"you" or "your" mean the
person(s) whose name is on the Bonus Blue Account.
1.2. In these Terms and Conditions unless the contrary intention
1.2.1. references to one gender shall include each other gender
and words denoting the singular shall include the plural and

affect the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions.
2. BONUS BLUE MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT
These Terms and Conditions set out the contractual relationship
between Blue Islands and each individual Member, are important and
affect your rights as a Member. Blue Islands requests that
particular attention be given to Clauses 19 to 22 below regarding
changes that may be made to the Bonus Blue Scheme, including those
relating to the earning and redemption of Reward Points and
termination of the Bonus Blue Scheme. Please ensure that you read
both these Terms and Conditions and the Bonus Blue Pages carefully
before using your Bonus Blue Login-ID. If you have any

THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CONTAIN SOME EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS
3. MEMBERSHIP AND APPLICATION
3.1. By becoming a Member you accept these Terms and Conditions
and agree to be bound thereto and to the information made available
on the Bonus Blue Pages as amended from time to time.
3.2. Membership is open to Eligible Persons (individuals of 18
years of age or over (save to the extent applicable, minors
nominated as part of a Bonus Blue Household Account)).
3.3. Blue Islands reserves its discretion to refuse Membership
to companies, partnerships, unincorporated associations, government
institutions or similar entities.
3.4. The person/s named on the relevant Member's Bonus Blue
Account are the only person/s entitled to use the Bonus Blue
Account. Membership is not transferable.
3.5. Only one enrolment per household will be accepted for
Membership of the Bonus Blue Household scheme, however a household
Member may also be a Member of a separate Bonus Blue Business
3.6. Applications for Membership must be made online at www.blueislands.com.
Membership applications must be completed in full. The preferred
email address determines the applicability of any local rules or
restrictions relating to the Services and eligibility for local
promotions relating to the Services.
3.7. Blue Islands reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to
rescind or refuse Membership without giving reason or
3.8. Applicants accepted as Members will be given a Membership
Login ID. Save as set out in clause 3.5, multiple Membership
applications are not permitted. In the case of duplication of
Membership, all Memberships (other than the first Membership
approved by Blue Islands) and any duplicate Reward Points (if any)
will be cancelled.
3.9. Applicants accepted as Members will be admitted to
Membership on the date they register online at www.blueislands.com and will
be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
3.10. Each Member must give Blue Islands immediate written
notice of any changes of name or preferred email address and, if
requested by Blue Islands, written proof of any such changes.
These changes can also be made by the Member online at www.blueislands.com.
3.11. Correspondence will be sent to the Member's last preferred
email address (as amended in accordance with clause 3.10) and will
be deemed to have been received by the Member once e-mailed to that
address. Blue Islands reserves the right to provide
information, including changes to the Bonus Blue Scheme, only to
active Members, being those who have earned Reward Points or
redeemed Reward Points for Rewards within the previous 2 Years.
3.12. Blue Islands will not be held responsible for late, lost,
undeliverable or misdirected mail (or in the case of e-mails,
messages that cannot be opened by the recipient Member).
3.13. Blue Islands reserves the right to audit any Bonus Blue
Account without notice to the Member to check for compliance with
these Terms and Conditions, the Blue Islands Terms and Conditions
and any other applicable rules, regulations or terms and conditions
(together, "Membership Rules"). During an audit a Member may
be unable to make bookings eligible for Reward Points. Should
an audit of any Bonus Blue Account reveal any non-compliance with
the Membership Rules, Blue Islands may, in its sole discretion:
3.13.1. delete or adjust any Reward Points accumulated by any
Member during such non-compliance period; and/or
3.13.2. cancel the Membership of any such Member.
3.14. Blue Islands reserves its discretion to refuse
Membership to any employee of Blue Islands or employees of any
other airline and their families, or anyone connected with Blue
Islands or the Bonus Blue Scheme. Blue Islands may from time to
time publish specific rules for this category of persons, which
rules will form part of these Terms and Conditions in respect of
such persons. For the avoidance of doubt, bookings made by any
employee of Blue Islands or their families with a staff discount
are not eligible to accrue Reward Points.
4.1. The Data which is Processed by Blue Islands in connection
with Members may include:
4.1.1. Membership Data (such as Reward Points accumulated or
Reward Points redeemed for Rewards) and Data concerning membership
of other frequent flyer programs;
4.1.2. Data about travel booked or undertaken by the Member
including Data identifying any company or organisation booking
travel for the Member;
4.1.3. any Data supplied by the Member to Blue Islands and/or
any of its Service Partners;
4.1.4. Data collected when the Member is provided with Services;
4.1.5. Data collected when the Member is otherwise in contact
with Blue Islands and/or any of its Service Partners (such as Data
about the use of www.blueislands.com).
4.2. The sources of the Data Processed by Blue Islands in
connection with Members may include Service Partners, Marketing
Partners, purchasers of travel booked for or undertaken by the
Member, travel agents, computer reservation systems, data
processors, agents, contractors and other airlines. Blue
Islands may link together Data obtained from a number of sources or
combine Data with data held on other databases in order to
differentiate between categories of Members for any of the purposes
listed in 4.4 below.
4.3. By becoming a Member and taking advantage of any of the
Services, benefits or facilities offered under the Bonus Blue
Scheme, Members consent to:
4.3.1. Blue Islands creating, maintaining and updating a
database of Data on that Member;
4.3.2. their Data being supplied to Service Partners, data
processors, agents, contractors and immigration and customs
authorities, including their respective employees, agents and
4.3.3. the Data being used for the purposes described in clause
4.4. The purposes for which Data may be Processed by Blue
Islands or by a recipient of Data under clause 4.3.3 include:
4.4.1. providing Services to Members;
4.4.2. making changes to Services and developing new
4.4.3. providing and enhancing customer service on Blue Islands
4.4.4. accounting and audit, safety and security, fraud
prevention and investigation, and systems testing, development and
4.4.5. the management and administration of the Bonus Blue
4.4.6. customer relations, service recovery and assisting Blue
Islands and any of its Service Partners in future dealings with
4.4.7. credit checking and credit scoring where permitted;
4.4.8. immigration and customs control;
4.4.9. customer profiling and other marketing and market
4.4.10. (by or on behalf of Blue Islands) communicating to
Members information about the Bonus Blue Scheme;
4.4.11. (by or on behalf of Blue Islands) communicating to
Members about other products, services, benefits or facilities
offered by Marketing Partners; and/or
4.4.12. conducting market research.
4.5. By registering for a Bonus Blue Account, you are consenting
to receive marketing and market research communications under
clauses 4.4.11 and 4.4.12. Consent may be withdrawn by you in
writing to Blue Islands Customer Care Team or by opting out of
4.6. Before any Data is disclosed to you by Blue Islands, you
may be asked security questions which may require you to confirm
your identity by providing information held by Blue Islands on
4.7. Blue Islands may disclose Data relating to a Member to a
third person who has been nominated in writing in advance by the
Member to Blue Islands. Members are responsible for the
security of their Membership Login-ID and Blue Islands shall have
no liability in the event that a Member's Membership Login-ID
details are disclosed by the Member, whether intentionally or not,
so as to allow a third party access to the Data and to make any
transactions. Blue Islands reserves the right to block online
access to Data by or through any third party website not authorised
by Blue Islands.
4.8. Consent under clause 4.3 will be deemed to continue until a
Member writes to Blue Islands Customer Care Team to withdraw
consent. Withdrawal of consent may mean that certain
Services, benefits and facilities may no longer be provided to the
Member, and will also entitle Blue Islands to terminate their
5. SERVICES PROVIDED BY SERVICE PARTNERS
5.1. Some of the Services may be provided by Service Partners,
and Blue Islands has no direct control over these Services.
Blue Islands will use its reasonable endeavors to ensure that the
Services expressed or advertised as being available to Members will
be available, but cannot in any way guarantee or warrant such
Services. Blue Islands will not be liable to any party for
any Loss incurred directly or indirectly from the non provision or
partial provision of Services provided by any of its Service
5.2. The provision of Services from Service Partners is
conditional on Members stating their full name and Membership
details when booking the Service and, where appropriate, providing
additional information if required to do so by the Service
5.3. Where a Member uses Services which are not provided by Blue
Islands, the Service Partner's terms and conditions relating to
such Services will apply including those terms and conditions
relating to bookings, ticketing, passports, any entitlement to
redress to a Member in respect of non provision or partial
provision of Services provided by Service Partners and all other
5.4. Blue Islands may discontinue relationships with Service
Partners at any time and will give Members written notice of any
such discontinuance as is reasonably practical in the
6. ELIGIBILITY FOR REWARD POINTS
6.1. To earn Reward Points for flying with Blue Islands, Members
must log in and book through their Bonus Blue Account.
6.2. Reward Points will be awarded to each Member only when
booking in accordance with clause 6.1. Membership details may also
be requested upon presentation of proof of identity at check
in. Reward Points will not be awarded for flights paid for
using Reward Points.
6.3. Members will not be entitled to earn Reward Points if they
have provided incomplete information when making a booking.
6.4. Each Member is responsible for ensuring that Reward Points
have been properly credited. This can be checked online at www.blueislands.com under the
"My Travel Statements" section.
6.5. Promotional Codes cannot be used in conjunction with Bonus
7. FLIGHTS ELIGIBLE FOR REWARD POINTS
7.1. Reward Points can be earned for travel using eligible fares
on Blue Islands scheduled service flights only and are not
available on charter flights.
7.2. Blue Islands may, from time to time, determine the criteria
for earning Reward Points, which may include:
7.2.1. eligible Sectors; or
7.2.2. eligible fares and booking classes.
7.3. Industry discount tickets, agent discount tickets,
promotional fares, group fares, inclusive tour fares and corporate
rates, complimentary bookings, prize winners, group booking and
third party bookings are NOT eligible to earn Reward Points.
7.4. Infant fares are not eligible to earn Reward Points.
7.5. Bonus Blue flight bookings made by telephone are not
eligible for points except bookings made telephonically for persons
with reduced mobility and Unaccompanied Minors. Bookings for
Unaccompanied Minors must not be made through the website.
Bookings for persons with reduced mobility may be made through the
website, provided that the Blue Islands Customer Care Team is
contacted at least 24 hours in advance and informed of any special
8. EARNING REWARD POINTS
8.1. Reward Points will be earned according to the travel
booked, paid for and ticketed, and the Member must actually travel
on the Sector to qualify for Reward Points.
8.2. Reward Points will be credited only to the Member who has
travelled on the flight on the relevant Sector and not to any third
8.3. If a Member has not earned Reward Points or redeemed Reward
Points for Rewards for 24 consecutive months, all Reward Points
that have accrued to that date will expire automatically without
8.4. Further details of how Reward Points are earned can be
found online at www.blueislands.com.
8.5. Where a Member is involuntarily re-routed by Blue Islands
onto another carrier and the original flight on which the Member
was booked would have qualified for Reward Points, the Member is
unable to claim such Reward Points.
8.6. Reward Points in relation to any flight will be tracked and
credited to the relevant Member's Bonus Blue Account.
8.7. Blue Islands will record Reward Points in the relevant
Member's Bonus Blue Account within 5 working days of completing the
flight or of receipt by the Blue Islands Customer Care Team of
proof of travel. Reward Points cannot be redeemed for Rewards
until Blue Islands has recorded them in the relevant Member's Bonus
8.8. Reward Points which are not tracked automatically at the
time of travel may be credited later at Blue Islands'
discretion. Members may claim Reward Points after completion
of their travel by emailing the Blue Islands Customer Care Team.
Reward Points will be credited provided that the Member was
enrolled in the Bonus Blue Scheme at the time of travel and the
claim is made within 6 months of the date of travel or the relevant
8.9. In case of dispute about entitlement to Reward Points, Blue
Islands reserves the right to require proof of travel on Blue
Islands flights and/or on the relevant Sector including, but not
limited to, the retained segment of the original boarding pass
together with copies of passenger ticket receipts for Blue Islands
flights and/or the Sector claimed to have been flown, including,
but not limited to, any original hotel receipts, car rental
agreements or insurance acceptance for services rendered by any
Service Partners. Such claims will not be considered beyond 6
months from the date of travel. Blue Islands' decision in
respect of any dispute shall be final.
8.10. Members may be entitled to receive benefits, facilities
and Reward Points from Service Partners provided they use their
Membership Login-ID when making a booking. In some cases a Member
may be required to enroll in the loyalty/rewards programme of a
Service Partner and convert the Service Partner's loyalty credits
into Reward Points at the Member's option. Where a Member
must elect whether to earn Reward Points or the Service Partner's
loyalty credits, the Member will not be permitted to re-elect at a
8.11. Failure to book in accordance with clause 6.1 may result
in earned Reward Points not being credited to the relevant Member's
Bonus Blue Account or the Member not being entitled to receive
9. REDEEMING REWARD POINTS FOR REWARDS
9.1. Redemption flights may be issued to any name requested and
mailed only to the preferred email address of the Member.
Rewards for travel on Blue Islands flights are subject to Blue
Islands terms and conditions as set out on the website www.blueislands.com which
includes the Blue Islands Terms and Conditions.
9.2. Requests for bookings covered by Rewards may only be made
online at www.blueislands.com.
Bookings of Rewards can only be requested by the Member who holds
the Bonus Blue Account. Members should allow between 14 to 21
working days for requests to Service Partners to be Processed.
Passengers with restricted mobility and minors must request
bookings covered by Awards by calling the Blue Islands Customer
Care Team during normal business hours and cannot make such
9.3. Open tickets cannot be issued using Reward Points.
9.4. Both single and return flights can be booked to earn
9.5. Rewards are available on seats and flights at the
discretion of Blue Islands.
9.6. Rewards for travel will only be issued to and from
destinations served by Blue Islands at the time the ticket is
used. The most direct routing must be taken from origin to
destination unless routing restrictions prevent this.
9.7. Subject to clause 9.8 below, Bonus Blue flights include all
taxes and charges associated with Reward travel. If required to do
so by law, Blue Islands will provide any relevant fiscal
authorities with full details of any persons in receipt of
Rewards. Any liabilities that arise as a result of the
submission of these details, or from a direct notification by a
Member, shall be the personal liability of the Member concerned and
shall not be borne or paid by Blue Islands.
9.8. Should there be any unforeseen increase in any
governmental, airport, fuel or related taxes ("Tax Increases")
between the date on which a Member redeemed his/her Reward Points
for Rewards and the date on which the Rewards travel is taken, Blue
Islands reserves the right, at any time in its absolute discretion,
to require to Member to pay to Blue Islands the amount of such Tax
Increases prior to the date the Rewards travel is taken.
9.9. All Rewards travel must be completed within 12 months of
the date of ticket issue.
9.10. From time to time, Blue Islands may offer special
promotional rates for Reward Points and/or Rewards bookings and
such accruals and/or bookings will be subject to the specific terms
and conditions published with each such offer, which will take
precedence over these Terms and Conditions. Unless otherwise
permitted by Blue Islands, Rewards (including special promotional
Rewards) may not be used in conjunction with other rewards,
promotions, coupons, discounts or special offers.
10. OWNERSHIP OF REWARD POINTS
10.1. Reward Points and all rights of title to and property in
such Reward Points, remains with Blue Islands at all times and
never passes to a Member.
10.2. Reward Points do not create proprietary rights or interest
and cannot be transferred, or otherwise disposed of as part of an
estate and may not be pooled or combined save as provided
10.3. Risks (for example, risks relating to theft or
unauthorised or fraudulent redemption) associated with Reward
Points passes to the Member as soon as Reward Points are recorded
on the relevant Member's Bonus Blue Account, or as soon as
otherwise awarded to the Member. Blue Islands is not liable
for unauthorised or fraudulent redemptions arising due to the
actions of the Member or the failure by the Member to adhere to
these Terms and Conditions.
11. NON TRANSFERABILITY OF REWARD POINTS
11.1. Except as otherwise provided by Blue Islands and
communicated to the Member, Reward Points are not transferable in
any way and cannot be bequeathed, devised or otherwise transferred
by operation of law.
11.2. Other than as provided for in these Terms and Conditions,
Reward Points are not redeemable for cash, refundable or
exchangeable for any other tickets or anything else and may be
confiscated in such circumstances. At no time may Reward
Points be purchased by, sold to, bartered or otherwise transferred
to other persons (save if Rewards Points are transferred between
Members within the same Bonus Blue Account).
11.3. Any purported purchase, sale, transfer, unauthorised use
(including bartering), procurement or redemption of Reward Points
issued to another person or any other use of Reward Points contrary
to these Terms and Conditions will constitute a fundamental breach
by the Member of these Terms and Conditions.
11.4. Each Member acknowledges that a breach pursuant to clause
11.3 above may also constitute an inducement to breach the contract
between Blue Islands and the Member, intentional damage to the
business of Blue Islands, conspiracy and/or criminal offences under
applicable local or national law. Any breach pursuant to
clause 11.3 will constitute Fraud and/or Misconduct and will be
dealt with in accordance with clause 18.1.
12. CHANGES TO REWARDS
12.1. Flight bookings for Rewards travel on Blue Islands may be
changed online using the Bonus Blue Account. All permitted
changes are free subject to capacity limitations and fare increases
12.2. Name changes are permitted up to 2 hours prior to the
scheduled departure time for the first flight of the Rewards travel
13. CANCELLATION OF REWARDS
13.1. Without prejudice to clause 13.3 below, where flights
bookings for Rewards travel are cancelled, Reward Points will not
be re-credited to the relevant Member's Bonus Blue Account.
13.2. Failure to utilise a Reward flight (i.e. "no show"), may
result in Blue Islands' cancellation of any onward or return
reservations. Blue Islands does not accept any responsibility
for denied boarding or "no show" and Reward Points will not be
re-credited in such cases.
13.3. In the event of a flight being cancelled by Blue Islands
for any reason, Reward Points redeemed for Rewards towards such
flight will not be re-credited to the relevant Member's Bonus Blue
13.4. No cash will be offered in lieu of unclaimed Reward
13.5. Passengers rights in respect of cancelled flights are set
out in Blue Islands terms and conditions at www.blueislands.com and no
cash will be offering in lieu of cancelled Rewards flights.
Passengers are strongly advised to ensure they are covered by
14. BONUS BLUE HOUSEHOLD ACCOUNTS
14.1. This clause includes additional terms and conditions that
apply specifically to Bonus Blue Household Accounts. If there
is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and this clause
14, the terms and conditions contained in this clause 14 will
prevail to the extent that such term or condition relates to, or
regulates the operation of, the Bonus Blue Household Account.
14.2. Only one Bonus Blue Household Account per residence is
permitted. Business addresses are not permitted for Bonus
Blue Household Accounts. Only permanent residential addresses
are permitted for Bonus Blue Household Accounts.
14.3. To apply for and create a Bonus Blue Household
14.3.1. the application process set out in clause 3.6 above
must be followed, identifying each relevant household Member;
14.3.2. a Primary Member who must be an Eligible Person
must be designated in respect of the Bonus Blue Household Account
and must, at all times, be an existing Member of Bonus Blue.
14.4. The remaining Bonus Blue Members included in the Bonus
Blue Household Account (other than the Primary Member) will able to
use their own Membership Login-ID to earn Reward Points.
14.5. Only the Primary Member of the Bonus Blue Household
Account may submit a change of email address, details of the
addition to and/or removal of any Members from such account or the
dissolution of such account. This will change the email address on
the Bonus Blue Household Account and/or status of the account for
all of the Members under that Bonus Blue Household Account.
The Primary Member can make such changes by using the process
described online at www.blueislands.com or by
contacting the Blue Islands Customer Care Team.
14.6. If the Primary Member dies or terminates his/her Bonus
Blue Scheme the remaining Members (who are Eligible Persons) must
nominate one of themselves to be the new Primary Member of the
Bonus Blue Household Account. Failure to do so will result in
the dissolution of the Bonus Blue Household Account. The new
Primary Member must satisfy the criteria in clause 14.3.2 above.
Details of the new Primary Member must be notified to Blue Islands
by emailing the Blue Islands Customer Care Team.
14.7. Reward Points will be tracked and recorded under the Bonus
Blue Household Account. For the avoidance of doubt, Infant fares do
not earn Reward Points.
14.8. The Primary Member can redeem from the Bonus Blue
Household Account, regardless of who earned the Reward Points,
including without limitation, all or part of the total Reward
Points earned by the other Members. Each Member is solely
responsible for discussing with other Members issues concerning the
use and redemption of Reward Points under any Bonus Blue Household
Account. Blue Islands bears no responsibility for any
use/redemption of Reward or Reward Points properly made by a Member
without the consent of the remaining Members.
14.9. When redemption is made Reward Points will be taken from
the main Bonus Blue Household Account.
14.10. Reward Points can only be issued by Blue Islands to
Members on the Bonus Blue Household Account (and will not be issued
to persons that are not members of such an account), as
designated/nominated by the Primary Member at the time of issuance
or in accordance with clause 14.8, after which Rewards may not be
transferred or reissued to a different name.
14.11. The Primary Member agrees to remove any Member from the
Bonus Blue Household Account when that individual ceases to be
permanently resident in that household.
14.12. Blue Islands reserves the right to remove any Member from
a Bonus Blue Household Account if that individual so requests or if
Blue Islands has reasonable grounds to believe that such individual
is no longer permanently resident at the Household address.
14.13. Blue Islands reserves the right to amend any Bonus Blue
Household Account records (including Reward Points) at its sole
discretion where it believes that such account has not been
maintained in accordance with clause 14.11 or if the Bonus Blue
Household Account has been amended in accordance with clause
15. BONUS BLUE BUSINESS ACCOUNTS
15.1. This clause includes additional terms and conditions that
apply specifically to Bonus Blue Business Accounts. If there
is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and this clause
15, the terms and conditions contained in this clause 15 will
prevail to the extent that such term or condition relates to, or
regulates the operation of, the Bonus Blue Household Account.
15.2. An unlimited number of individuals are allowed per each
Bonus Blue Business Account.
15.3. To apply for and create a Bonus Blue Business Account the
application process set out in clause 3.6 above must be followed,
identifying each relevant business Member. Only registered
companies are permitted to register for a Bonus Blue Business
15.4. A Primary Member must be designated in respect of the
Bonus Blue Business Account, must be an Eligible Person and, in all
cases, an existing Member. The Primary Member is the person who
creates the Bonus Blue Business Account and then chooses to add
additional Primary or Basic Members (i.e. a Member not being a
Primary Member) to such account. The Primary Member who registers
the account will receive all communications concerning the Bonus
Blue Business Account and is responsible for maintaining correct
details for each Member. Only Primary Members are able to view and
delete credit cards on the Bonus Blue Business Account, add and
delete Members from the account, view and download travel
statements and make and/or change bookings.
15.5. Basic Members will be able to use their Membership
Login-ID to earn Reward Points. Basic Members cannot view credit
card details, add users or change user settings, but are able to
make and/or change individual bookings
15.6. Once a Bonus Blue Business Account has been registered, a
username and password will be issued to the Primary Member. A
separate secure Username and Password for each Primary Member and
Basic Member will be created by the Primary Member.
15.7. Only registered Primary Member/s and the Basic Member/s
may access the Bonus Blue Business Account.
15.8. The provisions of clause 14.5 to 14.10 will apply, as
applicable, to Bonus Blue Business Accounts and its Members.
15.9. Bonus Blue Business Accounts with preferential rates are
not eligible for Reward Points. Bookings made by telephone are not
eligible for Reward Points. Industry discount tickets, agent
discount tickets, promotional fares, group fares, inclusive tour
fares and corporate rates, complimentary bookings, prize winners,
group booking and third party bookings are NOT eligible to earn
Reward Points. Travels taken on redemption tickets (including, but
not limited to Rewards) are not eligible to accrue further Reward
15.10. Blue Islands may request written proof of any changes to
the Primary Member/s.
15.11. Blue Islands is not responsible for events arising from
authorised use of any Membership Login-ID and unauthorised access
of any Data provided to Blue Islands.
15.12. Any of the Primary Member or Basic Member may purchase
flights for travelling Members through a Bonus Blue Business
15.13. The purchase price of any ticket will be charged to the
Bonus Blue Business Account.
15.14. Blue Islands will render monthly invoices in respect of
the Bonus Blue Business Account addressed to the relevant
registered company for the attention of the Accounts
15.15. Invoices rendered by Blue Islands are due for payment
within 30 days of the date of the invoice. Blue Islands will
charge interest on the balance outstanding at a rate of 6 per cent
per annum, calculated and accrued on a monthly basis on the
outstanding balance of the invoice from time to time. Blue Islands
reserves the right at any time in its absolute discretion to modify
or amend the payment terms in this clause.
15.16. The Primary Member will agree, upon Blue Islands'
request, to enter into a direct debit agreement in respect of the
Bonus Blue Business Account.
15.17. Blue Islands reserves the right at any time to suspend,
terminate or cancel the Bonus Blue Business Account by giving the
Primary Member at least 7 days' notice in writing.
15.18. The Primary Member may terminate the Bonus Blue Business
Account by notice in writing to the Blue Islands Customer Care
Team. Only the Primary Member may terminate the Bonus Blue
15.19. The Primary Member who registers the account agrees to
remove any individual from the Bonus Blue Business Account when an
individual ceases to be employed by the registered company.
15.20. Blue Islands reserves the right to remove any individual
from a Bonus Blue Business Account if an individual requests or if
Blue Islands has reasonable grounds to believe that an individual
is no longer employed by the registered company.
15.21. Blue Islands reserves the right to amend any Business
Account records including Reward Points at its sole discretion
where it believes that the Bonus Blue Business Account has not been
maintained in accordance with clause 15.19 or if the Bonus Blue
Business Account has been amended in accordance with clause
16. RESPONSIBLILTY OF MEMBERS
16.1. It is the Member's responsibility to ensure that they and
each person they are travelling with or any third party in whose
name a Reward has been issued:
16.1.1. have checked the relevant entry requirements for any
country being visited; and
16.1.2. have the correct passports, visas, health
certificates and other travel documents needed for the
journey. PROVIDED FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT THAT Members,
travel companions or third parties in whose name a Reward has been
issued may be denied boarding if their documents are not in order
and if boarding is denied no Reward Points will be earned for such
16.2. Blue Islands shall not be liable for any Loss suffered by
a Member and/or traveler as a result of their failure to arrange
17. MEMBER'S RIGHT TO TERMINATE MEMBERSHIP
17.1. Members may terminate their Membership by emailing the
Blue Islands Customer Care Team stating that they no longer wish to
be a Member. Any such termination will take effect within 5 working
days of receipt by the Blue Islands Customer Care Team of the
notice of termination. All Reward Points will be lost upon
17.2. Termination of Membership pursuant to clause 17.1 does not
relieve the Member of any continuing obligations under these Terms
18. BLUE ISLAND'S RIGHT TO TERMINATE
18.1. In addition to any other rights or remedies it may have,
Blue Islands reserves the right at any time in its absolute
discretion to terminate the Membership of any Member if a Member
commits Fraud, Misconduct, is given a banning notice by Blue
Islands or any other party or withdraws their consent under clause
4.3. Blue Islands will contact such Member by email and state
that their Membership is being terminated for this reason.
Blue Islands may in its discretion suspend such termination and
remove Reward Points and/or request undertakings in respect of any
similar future conduct.
18.2. Membership will terminated:
18.2.1. under clause 18.3 below; and
18.2.2. automatically upon the death of a Member (Reward Points
accumulated but unused at the time of death shall be
18.3. Any Bonus Blue Account for which no activity has been
recorded with Blue Islands, its Service Partners or any other
promotional third parties for a 24 month period from the date of
their last recorded activity on the Bonus Blue database, shall be
terminated at Blue Islands' discretion. If no claim is made
on any residual Reward Points on such account, Membership may be
terminated after a further 12 months and all remaining Reward
Points shall be forfeited. When the Membership is inactive
the Member will not receive statements or other Bonus Blue
18.4. In the case of Fraud and/or Misconduct, Blue Islands may
cancel all accrued and accruing Reward Points of a Member and/or
any Reward tickets.
18.5. In addition to clause 18.4, a Member shall be liable to
Blue Islands for the full price of any travel undertaken on Reward
tickets, wholly or partly, as a result of such Fraud and/or
Misconduct, in accordance with the published fare applicable to
such travel together with any reasonable costs, including legal
fees, incurred by Blue Islands.
19. TERMINATION OF THE BONUS BLUE SCHEME
19.1. Blue Islands reserves the right in its absolute
discretion, and upon giving reasonable notice, to terminate the
Bonus Blue Scheme.
19.2. Blue Islands shall use every reasonable endeavor to
publicise (in such form as may be reasonably practicable at the
discretion of Blue Islands) notice of such termination or a
Member's right to earn Reward Points or redeem Reward Points for
Rewards issued by Blue Islands prior to such termination.
19.3. This will not affect a Members entitlement to use any
Services not linked to the Bonus Blue Scheme. Each Member
acknowledges that at the end of the period of notice, a Member's
right to earn Reward Points will cease.
20. MODIFICATION OR WITHDRAWAL OF BONUS
20.1. Blue Islands may modify, withdraw, amend or add to any
Services or other offers or arrangements or impose any requirements
or restrictions relating to the use of Services or Rewards.
Blue Islands will give as much advance notice as practicable of
such action to Members.
20.2. Service Partners reserve similar rights to withdraw, amend
or add to Services or impose requirements or restrictions relating
20.3. Members shall be deemed to have agreed to any
modifications, withdrawal, amendment or addition to the Services or
Rewards or the Bonus Blue Scheme pursuant to clause 20.1 if, after
Blue Islands has notified them of the changes, they continue to use
their Membership Login-ID to obtain Services. Members who do
not wish to accept changes in the Services may terminate their
Membership in the manner described in clause 17.
21. CHANGES TO REWARD POINTS CURRENCY
Blue Islands may, from time to time, change the Reward Points
currency either in whole or in relation to any country or
region. Blue Islands shall use every reasonable endeavor to
give reasonable notice to Members of any such changes.
22. VARIATION OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
22.1. The most up to date edition of these Terms and Conditions
shall always be the version as published on www.blueislands.com from time
to time. Please ensure that you refer to the most up to date
edition of the Terms and Conditions when seeking to earn Reward
Points or take Rewards.
22.2. Blue Islands expressly reserves the right in its absolute
discretion at all times to withdraw, cancel, vary in any way or
change at any time any Services previously offered or expressed to
be provided to Members, or to the Terms and Conditions upon which
the same are so offered or provided and will not be liable for any
resulting Loss howsoever occasioned subject to giving Members
reasonable notice as appropriate in the circumstances.
Members will be deemed to have accepted any change or variation if
they continue to use their Membership Login-ID to obtain Services
after such notice has been given. Members who do not accept
the amendments may terminate their Membership as described in
22.3. No employee or agent of Blue Islands has the authority to
vary these Terms and Conditions orally.
22.4. All schedules and timetables are approximate and may be
subject to alteration or cancellation for operational or other
22.5. Any provision of these Terms and Conditions declared void
or unenforceable by any competent authority or court shall, to the
extent of such invalidity or unenforceability, be deemed severable
and shall not affect the other provisions, which shall remain
unaffected and continue with full force and effect.
22.6. Blue Islands shall not be liable for any
misrepresentations made on its behalf prior to your acceptance of
these Terms and Conditions.
22.7. Any failure by Blue Islands to exercise, or any delay by
it in exercising, any right, power or remedy available to it under
the provisions of these Terms and Conditions or under the law or
otherwise shall not operate as a waiver of any such right, power or
remedy and any single or partial exercise of any such right, power
or remedy shall not prevent any further exercise of that or any
other right, power or remedy. Any right, power or remedy of
Blue Islands under these Terms and Conditions may be waived
specifically and in writing only.
23. EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY
23.1. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Blue Islands
will not be liable for any Loss whether resulting (directly or
indirectly) from the alteration of these Terms and Conditions or
the termination of the Bonus Blue Scheme or the right to earn
Reward Points or redeem Reward Points for Rewards, or any of the

of local legal or regulatory prohibitions or restrictions, the
Bonus Blue Scheme or the whole or any part of the Services cannot
be made available in certain countries or to certain Members.
23.3. The limitations and exclusions of liability referred to in
the Blue Islands Terms and Conditions will apply in relation to any

24. MEMBER'S TAX LIABILITIES
24.1. Blue Islands makes no representations as to any income,
use, excise or other tax liability of Members as a result of their
Membership. Members are advised to check with their
accountant or tax adviser for further information.
24.2. Members are solely responsible for any tax liability
incurred as a result of their Membership.
24.3. Whenever the Member uses his/her Bonus Blue Number to
obtain or utilise any of the Services, the Member will be
personally liable for any and all costs, claims, charges, taxes or
liabilities arising from such use including, for the avoidance of
doubt, any Tax Increases or personal taxes.
25. CUSTOMER SERVICE
Any Member with concerns or complaints about the quality of the
Services should contact Blue Islands Customer Care Team. Blue
Islands may occasionally monitor telephone calls from Members to
the Blue Islands Customer Care Team to maintain and enhance its
service to Members.
26. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
26.1. These Terms and Conditions and the relationship between
Blue Islands and each Member and any dispute or claim arising out
of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their
subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or
claims) are governed by the Laws of the Island of Guernsey.
In joining the Bonus Blue Scheme, you are agreeing to submit to the
non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Royal Court of Guernsey in
relation to any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection
with the Bonus Blue Scheme, these Terms and Conditions, their
subject matter or their formation (including non-contractual
disputes or claims).
26.2. If in any jurisdiction, the Bonus Blue Scheme, the earning
of Reward Points or the redemption of any Reward is unlawful, then
to the extent that the laws of that jurisdiction are applicable,
the issue or redemption of such Reward Points and any related
documents are void.
26.3. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and
construed in accordance with Guernsey law.
26.4. Blue Islands and each Member submit to the non-exclusive
jurisdiction of the Guernsey courts to resolve any disputes that
may arise out of them.
