Zurich's traditional spring festival. The celebrations start with a colourful children's procession. This is followed by the main festival on Monday: people in historical guild costumes, 500 horses, 30 marching bands, together with 50 carriages and coaches parade through the city centre to Sechselauten-Platz on Lake Zurich. 22 APRIL 2012. ZURICH MARATHON
42.195 km along Zürich's lakefront. The beautifully varied route has almost no ascents, with less than 30 metres of climbing, making possible fast race times.
