Special Requirements
Can I take a wheelchair or similar walking aid onto a Blue Islands flight?
Passengers’ folding wheelchairs and pushchairs will be carried free of charge in addition to their normal baggage allowance, wherever possible. However passengers of restricted mobility are asked to inform our reservations department in advance of travel to ensure that additional equipment can be carried. Other large items may be taken, but only by prior arrangement. If you are taking a wheelchair, pushchair, or other large or unusual item please call our reservations desk on 08456 20 21 22 to discuss your requirements before booking your travel. To find out more about travelling with large items, please read our Terms and Conditions.
Can minors travel unaccompanied?
Children aged 8 and over may travel unaccompanied. Any children aged younger than 8 must travel with an adult aged 16 or over. If you would like to book a child aged between 8 and 16 who will be travelling unaccompanied please call 08456 20 21 22 to discuss your requirements, or read our advice notes for unaccompanied minors.
Can Passengers of Restricted Mobility travel on Blue Islands?
Blue Islands will always try to accommodate passengers of restricted mobility; for example, assistance to wheelchair passengers, mothers-to-be, or those with any other medical conditions. Restrictions placed upon us by the type of aircraft in service, however, may mean we cannot cater for all requirements.
All passengers requiring assistance should contact our reservations department on 08456 20 21 22 and give at least 48 hours notice of their requirements so that we may give advice and put in place the resources to help. The office is open 0730-2000 weekdays and 0800-2000 at weekends.
