Paul Sabin, Managing Director of Blue Islands with the New Priority Pass

The newly refurbished Blue Islands executive lounge at Guernsey airport has been selected by Priority Pass to become part of their global portfolio.

Priority Pass is a membership programme which gives members access to over 600 airport lounges throughout the world. The Blue Islands lounge in Guernsey airport is the first in the Channel Islands to offer their services to Priority Pass members, regardless of their choice of airline.

Paul Sabin, Managing Director of Blue Islands talks of the benefits to islanders, “At Blue Islands we’re delighted to be working with Priority Pass and the extended lounge means that we can accommodate over fifty passengers. This not only gives business travellers through Guernsey a better service, but helps to put Guernsey on the global agenda.”

Jonathan French, Head of Brand at Priority Pass said, “We are delighted at this latest addition to our programme. Our goal is to have a lounge wherever our members travel – and they will appreciate this facility when they visit the Channel Islands.”

The Blue Islands lounge has recently been extended and refurbished to accommodate the popularity of the group travel offered by the airline. Up to 46 passengers can travel together on the ATR aircraft.

The Blue Islands lounge at Jersey airport is to be refurbished early in 2010 at which point Priority Pass will be looking to extend their profile in the Channel Islands.
