The Channel Islands' Favourite Airline
Blue Islands increased inter-island travel between Guernsey and Jersey over the last twelve months - a growth of 79%, achieving a market share of over 50% following the release of year end Guernsey Airport passenger statistics.

Derek Coates, Chairman, commented: 'we have come a long way in two years since the launch of Blue Islands with our growing network linking the financial centres of Europe including Isle of Man, Zurich and Geneva. As a Channel Islands airline, inter-island is one of our core routes and we anticipate we will continue to grow the traffic in 2008, and this year we will be aiming to reach a 70% share by the year end.'
Paul Sabin, Managing Director Blue Islands said: 'this route is the vital connection for the business communities in both islands and our customers have appreciated the significantly improved product since the introduction of the new two crew Jetstream aircraft. A tremendous tribute goes to all our staff that have provided such a high level of attention to customer service. This year sees further customer benefits for Blue Islands passengers. You can now check-in for your flight at home or in the office, or even on your laptop, and avoid check-in queues.'
The online check-in system is now available to use on the Blue Islands website. By following the simple steps outlined you can print your own boarding card up to 48 hours before the scheduled flight time and up to 1 hour prior to departure. You will need your passport details when checking in for international flights. If you are carrying hand-baggage only, you can avoid the check-in at the airport and go straight to security. If you are travelling with luggage you will still need to go to the check-in desk.
All the benefits of flying Blue Islands continue to apply. You can change names, time and date of travel. Mr Sabin added: 'Online check-in will be particularly useful for our frequent flyers between Guernsey and Jersey who usually just have hand baggage.
