Blue Islands Welcomes Unusual Passengers
What do two large frogs, an electric-green bird, and a rare snake have in common? All three have recently moved home following an (exchange programme)[http://www.durrell.org/About-Durrell/Durrell-News/Durrell-flies-blue-skies/] between Durrell (Wildlife Conservation Trust)[http://www.durrellwildlife.org/] and (Zurich Zoo)[http://www.zoo.ch/xml_1/internet/en/intro.cfm].
They were flown from Jersey to Zurich with Blue Islands, after being approached by Durrell who knew of Blue Islands direct and regular flights to Switzerland. The animals were transported in wooden crates under the watchful eye of Durrell’s Head of Birds, David Jeggo, and Channel TV was on board filming their journey. The unusual cargo caused some excitement as it made its way through the security checkpoints, and Blue Islands and (Jersey)[http://www.blueislands.com/en/destinations/Jersey.aspx] Airport staff were on hand to ensure everything went smoothly.
Blue Islands have daily flights direct to both (Zurich)[http://www.blueislands.com/en/destinations/Zurich.aspx] and (Geneva)[http://www.blueislands.com/en/destinations/Geneva.aspx] from Jersey and (Guernsey)[http://www.blueislands.com/en/destinations/Guernsey.aspx].
