Management Accountant

Blue Islands is seeking a Management Accountant to join its Finance Team in Guernsey

The Management Accountant will facilitate managerial planning and commercial decision-making by providing appropriate financial information and advising managers of the financial implications of business decisions to aid growth and profit.

The role holder will prepare financial statements, reports and budgets together with controlling / forecasting expenditure to ensure spend is congruent with budgets and ensuring compliance with financial governance requirements. Completion of monthly, quarterly and yearly tasks including, tax returns and year-end audits, is also a key focus of the position, whilst working with all departments and the management team to assist with financial decision making.

Ideally you will have a relevant professional qualification in accountancy or business such as CIMA or ACCA, however candidates who are newly or part qualified will also be considered. With sound commercial acumen, you will be an excellent communicator and IT proficient, preferably with experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and SharePoint.

Finance Administrator

Blue Islands is seeking a Finance Administrator to join its Finance Team in Guernsey

Duties will include the input of supplier invoices to the purchase ledger, reconciliation of supplier statements, payment administration, back reconciliations, management of the sales ledger and resolving purchase and sales ledger queries as they arise.

The successful candidate will have keen attention to detail, a positive attitude, strong written and verbal communication skills and be keen to develop and learn new skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamic NAV an advantage though not essential. The right candidate will be supported in attaining a relevant professional qualification.

Tech. Records Administrator

Blue Islands is seeking a part-time Tech. Records Administrator to
join its growing team at Jersey Airport

The Continued Airworthiness Management team is responsible for the airworthiness oversight of the Blue Islands fleet of ATR aircraft, by recording and planning of all aircraft maintenance requirements. The Tech. Records Administrator requires exceptional numeracy skills together with a meticulous attention to detail.

You will be IT proficient in the use of various specialist applications and system interfaces, working in a highly regulated and demanding environment.

This is a part-time role based at Jersey Airport where attendance is required Monday to Friday, however working hours are flexible and can be adapted to suit the successful candidate’s individual requirements. You must be able to swim and provide references to pass a 5 year background and criminal record check.
