Enjoy uninterrupted use of personal electronic devices

Passengers onboard all Blue Islands flights will now be able to use their personal electronic devices (PEDs) throughout the duration of the flight including mobile phones, iPads and tablets.

Rob Veron, Blue Islands' Managing Director said

We're delighted we can now offer our passengers the freedom to enjoy uninterrupted use of their personal electronic devices in flight-safe mode, throughout all stages of the flight, from the moment they get onboard, until the moment they arrive in their destination.

This change comes as ATR, the manufacturer all Blue Islands' aircraft updated its policy on the acceptance of PEDs in use during flight which the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) has now approved for Blue Islands flights. Until now, Blue Islands passengers could use PEDs once seat belt signs had been turned off during the flight, now these devices can be used during taxi, take-off and landing.

Mr Veron added

Whether its listening to music, drafting offline emails, picking up the next chapter on an e-reader or playing games, as the aviation world progresses, we welcome such changes that allow our passengers to utilise their time onboard as they so wish.
