Blue Islands and Ormer promote Jersey in London

Blue Islands and London City Airport hosted a Jersey-themed event in London with special guest chef Shaun Rankin. The one-off event was for the London City Airport PA Club, a group of travel bookers, PAs and secretaries responsible for corporate travel booking.

Held at the five-star Grange Hotel in St Pauls, the event educated the guests about Jersey and the Blue Islands London City to Jersey route. The attendees sampled canapés cooked by Shaun Rankin, using fresh ingredients flown in from Jersey by Blue Islands.

Blue Islands Managing Director, Rob Veron, explains the benefits of such events and collaborative working: 'We were delighted to partner with both London City Airport and Shaun Rankin for this event to such a key audience for our business and we enjoyed being able to meet and treat the guests. Promoting both Blue Islands and Jersey as a destination for both leisure and travel is a key objective as well as being able to work alongside Shaun to provide culinary delights that perfectly showcase what Jersey has to offer.'

Michelin starred Chef, Shaun Rankin is a continued ambassador for Jersey and appreciates the value of such initiatives. 'It was great to partner with Blue Islands on this private event and an important showcase for the Jersey product. The relationship with London City is getting stronger all the time and we are all working towards the same goals to drive business and leisure to Jersey. The PA Club event was a good example of the work that is going on behind the scenes. We received great feedback from all the guests who attended and I enjoyed meeting them and showing off what Jersey has to offer for business travellers."

Guests also had the opportunity to win a luxury five-star break to Jersey with flights from Blue Islands, a two-night stay from the Longueville Manor and a three-course dinner at Ormer.
