Cabin crew beauty to represent Jersey at Top Model finals

Blue Islands' cabin crew member Tracy Teixeira will be representing Jersey in the Top Model 2014 UK competition final this April.

The Jersey beauty has been modelling since 2011; working with several local agencies on projects for St Brelade's Bay Hotel, various local music videos, fashion shows and catwalks, as well as a host of successful competitions.

Tracy is also the reigning Miss St Clement having been awarded the Parish honour in 2013 and is now returning for the national modelling finals for the second year running.

Here, at Blue Islands, we are very proud of our glamorous cabin crew member and wish her the best of luck for the national Grand Final of the Natural Beauty category in the Top Model UK 2014 competition at The Hilton Metropole, London, on Friday 4 April.

The Top Model professional model search campaign is now in its 8th hugely successful year with over 4,000 entries received in 2014. There will be over 160 finalists from across the UK, and globally, competing in six main show categories at the Grand Finals next Friday.

The Top Model campaigns pride themselves on their pure model search ethos, all of the top prizes and opportunities for the finalists and award winners being focused on the fashion and model industries.

Tracy was found during the Grand Finalist recruitment process which takes place over a four month period between September and January to seek the best new up-and-coming model talent.

Cabin crew member, Teixeira, is competing in the 'Natural Beauty' category which has been cut down to 21 finalists with awards for overall winner selected by industry experts, plus runner-up, best body award and public vote champion.

Tracy took a leading role in Blue Islands' new uniforms launch in February. The smart and stylish attire incorporates the midnight blue and gold, in keeping with Blue Islands' brand colours and values, and is worn very elegantly by the airline's model employee.

Blue Islands Managing Director, Rob Veron said: "We are very proud of Tracy and are delighted to sponsor her throughout the competition. We are in no doubt of Tracy's natural beauty as showcased alongside her cabin crew colleagues who all look very smart in their new uniforms. We wish her great luck for the finals next weekend."

Tracy added: "I'm really excited to be involved in The Top Model competition for a second year. Opportunities like this can open further doors in the modelling world and being able to represent Jersey on a national scale makes me very proud."
