Malaga information

  • Arrivals into Spain from United Kingdom must present either a valid vaccination certificate showing that the second dose was received 14 days prior to arrival OR a negative PCR test conducted within the 48 hours prior to arrival
  • Children up to and including 11 years of age are exempt from providing a negative test result
  • 48 hours prior to arrival, provide contact information and any history of exposure to COVID-19. Every traveller, regardless of age or nationality, must complete an online FCS Form to retrieve a QR code. This QR code must then be shown on your mobile or as a printed version on arrival in Spain to be able to continue your trip
  • Temperature check at Malaga Airport
  • Undergo a visual health assessment in Malaga Airport

On returning home to Guernsey, all travellers aged 12 and over must complete a Travel Tracker account prior to their travel home. This must be completed no sooner than 48 hours prior to your return.

Fully vaccinated?
Fully vaccinated passengers, or children aged 12-17, travelling with a fully vaccinated adult, will receive a PCR test on arrival (£25) and are required to isolate until the negative result is received, and will be tested again on day 7 (£25).

Not fully vaccinated?
Passengers who are not fully vaccinated will be subject to Spain's regional category - currently, Category 4 which requires a PCR test on arrival (£25) and a Day 13 PCR test (£25), with self-isolation until the negative result is received for the Day 13 test.

Children
Children aged 11 years and under would not need to be tested, but will still need to undergo the same self-isolation period as the accompanying adults.

Travel to the EU for British passport holders will change from 1 January 2021 as the UK is no longer part of the European Union.

When travelling to the EU, there will now be some changes following Brexit. You need to make sure you have everything you will need in place before you travel. The below will help you prepare for your 2021 holiday:

 Check your passport, on the day of travel it must:

  • Have at least 6 months left
  • Be less than 10 years old (even if it has 6 months or more left)

You will not need visas for short trips to Europe

At border control, you may need to show your return ticket and that you have enough money for your stay

Make sure you have adequate travel insurance that covers your healthcare
