Procurement Specialist

Blue Islands is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join its team, based in Jersey or remote.

We provide year-round air connectivity to and from the Channel Islands. Our ATR fleet operates 900 flights per month, between Guernsey and Jersey, and to the UK and Europe.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team, a role that’s integral to ensuring the timely and efficient sourcing of aircraft components and services to support our operation and the connectivity we provide.

It’s an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in logistics, procurement, or stores, particularly within a regulated industry such as aviation, who is looking to advance their career within a structured and dynamic procurement environment.

A key responsibility will be managing stock levels and raising accurate purchase, repair, and exchange orders, including the expediting of time-critical requirements. You will ensure all supplier documentation is obtained and verified, oversee core returns, and ensure tooling is available, serviceable, and calibrated as needed. The role requires regular liaison with suppliers and logistics providers to confirm orders and arrange timely, cost-effective deliveries. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all procured components meet the required certification standards, and for maintaining accurate procurement records.

Together with a high IT proficiency, and strong attention to detail, you will be an effective communicator, collaborating with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Finance, Stores, and Technical Records, to ensure procurement aligns with operational requirements. You will monitor supplier performance, contribute to ongoing improvements in efficiency, and support cost-saving initiatives through value enhancement and the reduction of waste.

A CIPS Level 2 - 3 qualification is desirable, although support will be provided for those wishing to work towards one.

We offer thorough training and further opportunities for career development, plus:

  • competitive salary with annual review
  • staff travel, with confirmed seats
  • private health care
  • pension
  • life cover
