London City named "Best International Airport"
London City Airport has been presented with a prestigious London Transport Award for being the best London airport. The award recognised the airport's continuing success in serving the needs of London's business traveller.
Declan Collier, London City Airport's Chief Executive Officer welcomed the accolade as a further endorsement of the airport's industry-leading strategies in the areas of technology, customer service and infrastructure and route development.
London City Airport prides itself on its central location, unique amongst London airports, which makes it a convenient gateway to London's business, finance and political communities. Our continuing focus is on the speed at which passengers can depart from, and arrive at, the airport, the punctuality of our operation and our emphasis on best-in-class customer service.
Blue Islands have operated flights to London City Airport since 2011, providing a twice-daily service for day return travel to the city. In recent months a third rotation to London City was introduced ahead of a partnership codeshare with CityJet, for even more flexibility.
Rob Veron, Blue Islands' Managing Director said
London City's unrivalled location together with our increased frequency of flights means there is no better way to arrive in the heart of London and avoid the stress of Gatwick, even half-day returns are now possible allowing you to maximise your time in London and Jersey.
