In accordance with the latest advice from the States of Guernsey if you are flying to Guernsey, please read the following pre-departure information. 

All arrivals
Everyone travelling to Guernsey is required to complete a travel tracker prior to arrival in Guernsey:

GUERNSEY TRAVEL TRACKER

From 1 July

Fully vaccinated?

  • There are no testing or isolation requirements for fully vaccinated passengers arriving in Guernsey from 1 July.

Not fully vaccinated?

  • Passengers who are not fully vaccinated will continue to be subject to Category requirements based on regional classification (see from 14 May).

Children

  • From 1 July, children aged 17 or under are assessed as the same risk as their parent/guardian/carer unless they have their own vaccination status

From 14 May / Regional classifications for non fully vaccinated passengers from 1 July
Regions will be classified as Category 1, 2, 3 or 4 which will determine testing and isolation requirements when arriving in Guernsey.

  • Category 1: Air bridge only, no isolation or testing requirements
  • Category 2: Arrival + Day 7 PCR test, (if still in Guernsey) Self-isolation until first negative test result
  • Category 3: Arrival + Day 7 PCR test, Self-isolation until Day 7 negative test result
  • Category 4: Arrival + Day 13 PCR test, Self-isolation until Day 14

Common Travel Area
Guernsey is within the Common Travel Area. You do not need to complete the UK Government Travel Declaration Form for travel to the island and you do not need to test or isolate on return to the UK.

All visitors need to provide details of the travel history in the 14 days prior to visiting Guernsey through the Travel Tracker.

Jersey 🇯🇪 

In accordance with the latest advice from the Government of Jersey if you are flying to Jersey, please read the following pre-departure information. 

All arrivals

Each nation of the UK / Crown Dependency is categorised as Green or Red for arrivals in Jersey.

Everyone travelling to Jersey is required to complete an online registration form within 48 hours before departure, which will include a declaration of your travel history for the 14 days prior to arrival in Jersey.

JERSEY PRE-REGISTRATION FORM

Fully vaccinated?

  • If arriving from a Green nation you do not need to isolate, however you will be required to take a free PCR test on arrival.
  • If travelling from a Red ‘emergency brake’ area or a red nation, fully vaccinated passengers will need to isolate until received negative test result, typically in an average of 12 hours.

Not fully vaccinated?

  • If arriving from a Green nation - free PCR test on arrival + Day 8 (if still in Jersey): Self-isolation until Day 0 negative test result - expected within an average of 12 hours
  • If travelling from a Red nation - free PCR test on arrival, Day 5 & Day 10 PCR test: Self-isolation until Day 10 negative test result

Children

  • From 22 June, children under the age of 18 will be classed as Green arrivals, regardless of their parents’ vaccination status or their 14-day travel history
  • Children aged 11 to 17 years old will be required to complete a pre-departure travel form and undertake a PCR test upon arrival and on day 8, and must isolate until they receive a first negative test result
  • Children aged 10 or under will not be required to complete a pre-departure travel form or undergo testing

Classification before 29 June

Guernsey, England, Wales, IoM and Northern Ireland are classified Green, with exceptions in ‘emergency brake’ Red areas. Scotland is currently Red.

Classification from 29 June

Guernsey, Wales, IoM and Northern Ireland are classified Green. England & Scotland are Red.

For the rest of the world (when travelling via the UK) Jersey will follow UK Red, Amber and Green classifications.

Common Travel Area

Pre-departure negative Covid test
It is possible to replace the need for a PCR test on arrival in Jersey and the need to isolate with evidence of a negative pre-departure PCR Covid test, this will need to be pre-approved prior to arrival in Jersey, more information is available here.

Enhanced wellbeing - fly with confidence

The continued safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew is always our highest priority which is why we have implemented enhanced wellbeing measures which includes all customers aged 11 and above wearing face masks.

There is an exemption to the requirement for a face covering for customers with medical grounds, such as respiratory difficulties. If you meet the exemption requirements, you may be asked to present supporting government documentation

This is one element of a series of enhanced wellbeing measures we have implemented which include:

  • Microbe Shield surface protection in the cabin
  • Aircraft touch point sanitation procedures
  • Cabin air is continuously replenished with fresh air every 5 - 7 minutes, the cabin may be slightly cooler than normal, therefore you may wish to have a jumper to hand
  • Seat allocation to maximise the distance between passengers in the cabin where possible.
  • Reduced contact points, with the exception of safety cards, all seat-back literature has been removed and there is no inflight service

Blue Islands is back!

Blue Islands is back. Today the Channel Islands airline launched its new brand identity, new routes, new website and new product offering. The first aircraft sporting the new livery touched down in Jersey and Guernsey to celebrate and share the airline’s new look. Tickets with new fare options have also gone on sale at blueislands.com and all customers are being invited to sign up to the airline’s new Blue Skies Club frequent flyer programme.

Rob Veron, CEO Blue Islands said,

Today is a very special and exciting day for the Blue Islands team across our Guernsey and Jersey bases. We have been working really hard behind the scenes over the past few months with the aim of re-emerging, post pandemic, stronger and better than ever. Following the collapse of Flybe in March, Blue Islands (then a Flybe franchisee) swiftly re-established itself as an independent carrier, continuing to operate without interruption. Whilst the islands have been in lock down, Blue Islands has provided lifeline services for Jersey, operating essential flights to both Southampton and Gatwick – repatriating to and from the island, transporting key essential workers and ensuring those requiring off-island medical care get there safely.

Mr Veron concluded:
