Blue Islands was the most punctual UK airline in 2023, based on data from OAG, the leading data platform for the travel industry. Â
Rob Veron, Blue Islands CEO said, “We’re proud to provide reliable year-round regional connectivity for the Channel Islands and play our part in ensuring the islands’ socio-economic wellbeing. This result is testament to the dedication and continued efforts of our amazing team.”Â
78.4% of the 9,036 Blue Islands flights tracked by OAG during 2023 arrived on time* and includes any weather-related delays and cancellations. Virgin Atlantic (75.6%) and Loganair (70.9%) were placed second and third respectively from a total of nine UK airlines. Â
Rob added, “Safe and reliable on-time connectivity is a complex task; bringing together many elements, systems and entities for each flight. This is a particularly pleasing result given the data includes any weather-related disruption. While we can manage many of the factors affecting our on-time performance, there are many that are out of our control, particularly here in the islands. Â
